66/365: "I'm a Hurricanes Fan."

Yep. Carolina Hurricane’s hockey. Everyone in my family is a huge fan. We get mini-season tickets (not a full season package, just 10 games plus priority for the playoffs).

So today was the first game of our plan, the third game of the season. And they win! Making their record 1-2-0. Good night. First win, second power play goal. First point for Cam Ward, the goalie for the ‘Canes. Yes. The goalie scored an assist. Pretty cool.

Andre Deveaux’s shot skips off of Chet Pickard’s mask and into the net to give Chicago a 4-0 lead in the 2nd period. It would later prove to be the game-winning goal. The goal allowed the Allstate Arena to play a mix of Bell Biv DeVoe songs from the early 90’s as he celebrated (I’m not kidding).
